Synopsis

The Fours are associated with the Sefirot Chesed, "Mercy" or "Loving Kindness". The Fours offer a sense of balance and respite, expressing the quaternity of the suits themselves. The stability of the Fours have the potential to give a stable structure and foundation from which to grow, or to become a cage in which there is no movement. Consideration should be given on how to best harness the positive of structure without being trapped by it.

The Four of Wands is a balance of expansive and receptive energy, a self-sustaining and nurturing structure for those within it. This card brings people or events together in a creative union, such as the wedding celebration on the Waite-Smith card or the coming together of Venus and Mars on the Thoth card. Generally this is a happy and fruitful experience.
